Phoenix of Dremael

Now this is a story all about how
My life is jokes for some clowns
And I’d like to take a minute
While I glomp Mikhael
I’ll tell you how I became Phoenix of Dremael

West Indies born, Canadian raised
Imagination was where I spent most of my days
Savin’ kids, diplomacy all cool
Chroniclin’ adventures wherever in school
When a generation of adults up to no good
Raisin’ their shit in us kids’ neighbourhood
I called out abuse and clan got scared
They said, “Little girl you don’t belong here.”

I played beneath trees, each school day
They insisted STEM had to be my only way
Mom gave me food and then Dad gave me purpose
I faced maya and the mists; “I gotta learn more to it.”

Acolyte?! Yo, I’m glad
But Seren wants to plant some aromatic grass.
That’s how Reaians live, so unlike?
Sasha, I think here’s a bit too tight.

But wait, how do I tell the boys and girls apart?
Luke I swear I thought you a chick from the start!
This hurts my head
I need a system here
Hope y’all prepared for the Great Cat over there

Well, I passed the test and when I got through
There was Theta asking ’bout blue roses, what did I do
I ain’t trying to get my licks yet
I did nothing
I jumped into a portal, so shiny, and disappeared

I cried for the Cat and when he came near
A friggin’ chatty tiger uses lakes for a mirror? — Wha
If anybody crazy, I’m the sane one there
But I promised to learn.
— “Have fun in Dremael.”

I hopped back to life here around ages 7 to 8
And I sang to my buddies, “Hey, I’ll be back soon!”
I remembered my playground
While finding folks here
We recall these times as Children of Dremael.
